A series of photographs accompanies a travelogue of a 1995 trip through Alaska, depicting the region's specific climate and harsh weather, the vastness of its nature, and the special events that occurred during the journey. According to Rails Magazine, Alaska means confronting cold, magnificent nature, and largely untouched
landscapes, which can be reached primarily by a small propeller plane.
The Nordic landscape encompasses icebergs, caribou encounters, a solitary church, and an abandoned cemetery, as well as a vibrant tradition of salmon fishing and encounters
in one of the few bars or on the long-distance bus.
The photo-documentary style is evident in clear shots that showcase photographic detail, as well as colour accents that guide the viewer's eye, and photo collages that capture the sequence of events within a single image.
